An easy how to on Twine! This will make the most sense if you open up the editing mode and Test mode next to each other. Then play through the Test mode and try to follow along in the editing. Remember to click on a story box to expand it in editing mode! [[Intro]] If you add double brackets around something it will make a new story page and link to it. [[Next Page]] Going to make two more options here to show some more tricks! [[A]] [[B]] If we want this to be a dead end (so for instance if this was a wrong answer to a question) we can have it link back to the last option (or any other one you want. Our last page was "Next Page" so I'm just going to put double brackets around that and then you can go back to the last page! [[Next Page]]Ok we're at A! Yay. You don't have to just link pages that are next to one. Here I could give you an option to coninue with game or going back to the very begining by putting the titles of those pages both in brackets. [[Continue Tutorial]] [[Title Page]]Ok this is B. Lets say I want you to be able to go back to A though. We can do that! Just brackets around A. [[A]]From here you can write more and make options! [[This]] or [[That]] With the brackets to make new pages. Ok one more helpful trick! Sometimes you want to link to a page. Say I want to link this to the next part of the game which is titled "Continue Tutorial Part 2." But that's a long title! I would rather the button just say "Continue..." To do that you do your brackets and then write what you want the botton to look like followed by "->" followed by the name of the page you are linking to. [[Continue...->Continue Tutorial Part 2]]This can be done with any of the pages! For instance to end this tutorial I'm goign to have the botton say "End" but the link will take you back to the Title page. [[End->Title Page]]
